You use the left side of the Question Browser window to find and select questions for your assignment.
The Question Browser has several different pages that are displayed in the left side of the Question Browser window:
- The Home page, which is shown by default if have not pinned a different page, lists the textbooks and resources you are currently using in your classes and provides links to browse your folders for questions, to view all of your questions, to browse publicly available question collections, and to search for questions.
- Each textbook and resource you are currently using in your classes has a page that lets you quickly navigate to the questions you want.
- The My Folders page lets you navigate in your folders to find questions you have created.
- The My Questions page lists all questions you have created, with the most recently modified questions listed first.
- The Collections page lets you navigate the publicly available question collections like folders to find the questions you want.
- The Question Browser page lets you specify search criteria to find questions in your textbooks and resources, questions you have created, or questions in the publicly available collections.
To set the current page to be shown automatically when you open the Question Browser, click the
pin icon 
at the top of the Question Browser.
On each of these pages except for My Folders and Collections, you can also select among three views of the question list: Full View, Short View, and Micro View. The view you used most recently for each textbook or question resource is selected by default.
Full View shows a preview of the question, along with the question name and ID, links to add, remove, or view questions, any question comments, and time estimate, usage, and difficulty bar graph indicators to the right of the question name. The time estimate indicator shows the median time students spent on a question, the usage indicator shows how many students have attempted the question, and the difficulty indicator shows the percentage of students whose first response to the question was incorrect. You can click either the usage or difficulty index indicator for detailed information.
Short View shows only the first 100 characters of the question, along with the question name and ID, links to add, remove, or view questions, any question comments, and time estimate,usage, and difficulty bar graph indicators to the right of the question name. The time estimate indicator shows the median time students spent on a question, the usage indicator shows how many students have attempted the question, and the difficulty index indicator shows the percentage of students whose first response to the question was incorrect. You can click either the usage or difficulty indicator for detailed information.
Micro View shows only question names, or for textbook questions, sometimes abbreviated question names. Questions that you can add to the assignment are displayed in blue; questions that are already on the assignment are displayed in gray. You can click the question name to add or remove questions.
You can select among these three views, and for Full and Short views, specify the number of questions to be shown per page, at the bottom of each list of questions.
