Rename Categories in GradeBook

In the GradeBook, you can change the name of a category you created (although you cannot delete a category after it is created). You cannot change the name of the default categories.

If you do not want to use a category you created, you might want to rename it to "do not use" or something similar to remind you that you do not intend to use it.

To rename a category:

  1. From the menu, click Assignments > My Categories.

  2. Click the category you want to rename.

  3. On the Editing page that is displayed, rename the category.
  4. Click Save.
    The new category name is displayed in the GradeBook and all other areas of the application.
