Frequently Asked Questions

Our customers have asked:
Q: What is the difference between a High School Site License and a Lab Pack?

A:
A High School Site License allows you to load the software onto any computer in your high school. A Lab Pack allows you to load the software on up to 10 computers. Generally a high school would purchase a Site License and a college or university would purchase one or more Lab Packs.

Q: When is a program upgraded?

A:
There is no set schedule for upgrades. It depends on whether the author of the software believes it is necessary and has the time to do it.

Q: When are new programs or versions going to be released?

A:
You must contact our office to get a specific answer. Often, Physics Academic Software will advertise a new software package in our annual catalog even though it may not be available for a few months after you receive the new catalog.

Q: What are the system requirements for a software program?

A:
The system requirements are listed with the product description on this web site. It is not possible to test every computer system with our software. In the past we have had very few incompatibility problems. If the software does not work with your computer we will be happy to give you a full refund.

Q: How do you print a screen display from a DOS program?

A:
Press Print Screen and paste into a Microsoft Word document.

Q: Are your programs Y2K compliant?

A:
As far as we know, yes. Dates are not used during the operation of any of our software programs, so we do not expect any problems.
