With multiple submissions, online homework lets your students retry a problem until they figure out how to solve it. However, this means that homework scores often don't indicate how well your students understand the material.
A better predictor of your students' test performance is performance on the first attempt for each question part. Class Insights uses this criterion to rate your student's proficiency on the assigned textbook topics.
On the first attempt, your student earned at least 90% of the points available. | |
On the first attempt, your student earned between 60% and 90% of the points available. | |
On the first attempt, your student earned less than 60% of the points available. |
Class Insights topics reflect sections of your textbook for which you have assigned work in WebAssign.
Open the Class Insights page for your class section.
Under Class Tools, click Class Insights.
To return to the My Classes page, click
in the top left corner.
In the Student box at the top of the Class Insights page, type or select a student's name.
You can type a partial first or last name to display a list of matching students in the current section. Click the student whose performance data you want to see.
If needed, change the view.
See a specific assignment category
Select the assignment category — or All Assignments — at the top of the page.
Sort the table
Click a column heading.
To view data for the same student in a different section, click Class Insights at the top of the page, navigate to the section you want, and select the student again.
Your students can view their own Class Insights data for classes with textbooks in WebAssign.
