Add Textbook Questions to Assignments

You can add textbook questions to your assignments from the textbooks you are using in your current classes.

  1. In the Assignment Editor, click Question Browser.
  2. If needed, click the home icon home icon to show all of your current textbooks.
  3. Beside the textbook you want to use, select a chapter from the drop-down menu.

    The chapter sections are listed. The number of available questions for each section is listed in parentheses.

    1.1: Some Fundamental Definitions (18) [add these >>]
    1.2: Chemical Arts and the Origins of Modern Chemistry (1) [add these >>]

    Depending on how questions are organized for the textbook, a range of question numbers might also be listed at the end of each section title in brackets.

    1: Classification and Properties of Matter [11-22] (7) [add these >>]
    1: Units and Measurement [23-32] (10) [add these >>]
  4. If needed, click a chapter section or a grouping of questions to see the list of available questions.
  5. Click the name of a question or Add to add it to the list of assignment questions on the right.
  6. When you are done, click Update Assignment at the bottom of the list of assignment questions.
    Important Your assignment is not changed until you click Update Assignment.

    The Question Browser closes and your changes are shown in the Assignment Editor.
