Mark Communications as Unread or Read

You can mark Ask Your Teacher conversations and extension requests as unread in order to display them as new items. You can also mark these communications as read.

When you open an Ask Your Teacher conversation or extension request, it is automatically marked as read.

Note You can't change the read status of answered extension requests or Ask Your Teacher conversations. Answered items are always marked as read.
  1. From the menu bar, click Communication.

    If needed, select a class.

  2. Navigate to your Ask Your Teacher conversations or extension requests.
    • Expand Extensions and click Unanswered.
    • Expand Ask Your Teacher and click Unanswered.
  3. Select check boxes for the items you want to change.
    Tip At the top of the message list, you can click All or None to select or clear all the check boxes.
  4. In the Selected Items menu at the top of the message list, select either Mark as Unread or Mark as Read.

The selected items are changed to either read or unread.
