Score Calculation

Your choices for how students submit answers and which submissions are scored change how your students' scores are calculated.

The available scoring methods depend on how you allow your students to submit answers.

Example Scenario

  • Your assignment has two questions.
  • Question 1 has 3 parts.
  • Question 2 has 2 parts.
  • Each question part is worth 1 point.
  • You allow 3 submissions.

Your student's answers for each question part and submission are shown in the following table. To better illustrate the effects of different scoring methods, correct answers for two question parts were changed in subsequent submissions.

Scenario scores by scoring method (submit by Question Parts)
