Set Student Feedback Settings by Question

Add a custom hint for any question in the assignment. You can also override your assignment settings to make Help Content or Practice Another Version available earlier for certain questions.

Note This information describes how to use the new Assignment Editor.

If needed, click Try the New Assignment Editor in the original Assignment Editor to enable this improved experience now.

You cannot turn off Help Content or Practice Another Version for individual questions if the assignment setting is Always Show.

1. In the Assignment Editor, expand the Questions section, then expand the question.
2. Click Help, Practice, Hints to view student feedback settings for that question.
3. Optional: Turn Help Content on and enter how many submissions students must use on this question before accessing relevant tutorial or eBook links.
4. Optional: Turn Practice Another Version on and enter how many submissions students must use on this question before accessing a practice question with different randomized values.
5. Optional: Enter a hint in Custom hint.
   The hint is shown after students' first attempt.
6. Click Save.

The question is marked in the assignment editor to show that it has different help, practice, or hint settings than the rest of the assignment. This label is not shown to students.
