Change Assignment to Extra Credit

You can change an assignment to be worth extra credit in GradeBooks that are based on points only.

Extra credit assignments add points earned to the numerator of the student's category average, but do not add points possible to the denominator.

  1. From the GradeBook, click Settings.
  2. Click the Categories tab.
  3. At the top of the Categories page, select an assignment category.

    Assignments in that category are listed.

  4. Beside the assignment, select count as extra credit.
  5. Click Save.

    If you don't want to update your GradeBook calculations now, first clear Update GradeBook.
