Remove Posts

If needed, you can permanently remove posts from forum topics.

There might be times when a student adds a post that you want to remove from a forum so no one can view it.

Important Removed posts cannot be made visible to your students again.

The forum and topic containing the post to be removed must be active. To unlock a locked forum or topic, see Lock Forums or Topics.

1. From the menu bar, click Communication.

   If needed, select a class.

2. Under Forums, click Active to view the active forums for the class.
3. Click the name of a forum.
4. Click the name of a topic.
5. Click the trash icon in the heading of the post that you want to remove.

The post is permanently removed from the topic.

In the topic, you can view any posts you removed by clicking Show Trashed Posts. The trashed posts are displayed in red. You cannot make trashed posts visible to your students.
