Remove Topics

You can remove a topic from a forum by sending it to the trash.

There might be times when a student adds a topic that you want to remove from a forum so no one can view it. There might also be times when a topic is out of date and you simply do not want to display it any longer in the forum.

The forum containing the topic to be removed must be active. To unlock a locked forum, see Lock Forums or Topics.

  1. From the menu bar, click Communication.

    If needed, select a class.

  2. Under Forums, click Active to view the active forums for the class.
  3. Click the name of a forum.
  4. Click the name of the topic that you want to remove.
  5. Click Settings.
  6. For State, select Trashed.
  7. Click Apply.

The topic is removed from the forum.

In the forum, you can view trashed topics by clicking Show Trashed Topics.
