WebAssign homework assignment ID's
In addition to the large homework problems provided at the end of a chapter of the Matter & Interactions textbook, there are many small-scale problems in the form of exercises distributed throughout the chapter, and small review questions at the end of the chapter. One may wish to ask students to write out some exercises or review questions as part of the homework, or to have them work out exercises at intervals during a lecture. There is an extensive and sophisticated set of exercises and problems prepared by the authors for the WebAssign computer homework system (http://www.webassign.net). WebAssign offers free access to instructors to try out materials.
Below are assignment names and IDs for WebAssign assignments to accompany the second edition of volume 1 of the textbook (Modern Mechanics). Following a list of typical assignments is a list of collections that offer additional problems from which to choose.
You can find these assignments by clicking on the spyglass in the upper left corner of WebAssign, entering the assignment number, making sure the "Assignment" radio button is checked, and clicking "go!". You can preview the assignment to try out the problems. Then you can duplicate the assignment and assign it to your class.
