We have just released a new option for anyone who writes multiple choice/multiple select questions with lots of choices; you can now choose to control where each choice is displayed; for example to put them into a table.

To use this feature, you would add the flag $SET_EACH_POSITION=1, and then insert answer boxes (<_>) in the question field at each location that an answer choice should be printed.
