WebAssign is a fully hosted, web-based service.
If you can browse the web, you can use WebAssign!
There's no software to install or update, no servers to manage,
no networks to troubleshoot, and no database to maintain. We take
care of everything, so that you have more time to do the things
that are important to you - like teaching.
Web-Based = 24 x 7 Access
WebAssign can be used from any computer with
access to the web - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This means that
students can check grades, do assignments, and participate in online
forums from any location and at any time, and that faculty can monitor
student progress whether they are in the classroom or not. The flexibility
of 24x7 access is a great benefit for distance education or non-traditional
classes, where students cannot always be expected to work during
"normal" business hours.
Web-Based = Real-Time Functionality
Everything you do in WebAssign is reflected in
real time, so you won't experience delays between making a change
and seeing it reflected in your assignment, grade book, or help-desk
response. This is because WebAssign is a "transaction database."
That means you don't have to wait for a server to update files hourly
or nightly based on some scheduling protocol. All changes are instantly
and automatically reflected on the server, so your information remains
completely current!
Web-Based = Superior Support
Once you sign up with WebAssign, our account
manager will set up your first class for you. After that, all throughout
the year, our support team will be available to answer your questions
and offer assistance. WebAssign's real-time functionality means
that we can correct errors quickly and effectively. We can look
at answer algorithms, see where a mistake is, and fix it - usually
within hours of being notified. Just let us know if you encounter
a bug, and we'll
