Analytics for a Student

From the Class Insights page, you can navigate to view detailed performance information for a specific student in your class section.

With multiple submissions, online homework lets your students retry a problem until they figure out how to solve it. However, this means that homework scores often don't indicate how well your students understand the material.

A better predictor of your students' test performance is performance on the first attempt for each question part. Class Insights uses this criterion to rate your student's proficiency on the assigned textbook topics.

Student earned at least 90% of the points available on the first attempt. On the first attempt, your student earned at least 90% of the points available.
Student earned less than 90% of the points available on the first attempt. On the first attempt, your student earned between 60% and 90% of the points available.

Class Insights topics reflect sections of your textbook for which you have assigned work in WebAssign.

Note: Like the overall class view in Class Insights, data for individual students reflect the most recently assigned textbook questions for a topic.
