Ordering Access Codes

This page provides details on how to order access codes.

Bookstores

If you are a bookstore interested in purchasing Access Code Cards for a class that is not using a Cengage textbook, please contact WebAssign for an up-to-date order form.

We are available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. (ET) to respond to order form requests and answer questions. Orders are processed Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. (ET). Payment must be included with your order; we accept checks and credit cards. Orders are usually shipped within 24 hours of receipt. We ship Priority Mail unless a customer requests and pays for expedited shipping. Cards are returnable for a complete refund as long as they are in resalable condition.

If you need Access Codes Cards for a class using a Cengage textbook (including Brooks-Cole, Houghton-Mifflin, and Wadsworth), you must order the codes directly from Cengage.

Instructors

Class instructors do not need an access code to use WebAssign. Sign up for your free faculty account.

Students

For most classes that uses WebAssign, each student will need an access code. Note that this access code is not a password and is not required to log in to WebAssign. Access codes can be obtained in three different ways:

  • Purchase a textbook that is bundled with an Access Code Card, and enter the code after logging into WebAssign
  • Purchase an Access Code Card separately at your bookstore. For this option, before going to the bookstore, find the matching prefix for your textbook title to ensure that you purchase the correct Access Code Card. Enter the access code after logging into WebAssign.
  • Purchase an access code online after logging into your WebAssign account. A credit card or PayPal account is needed for this option.

If a student drops a class, a refund can be requested within 14 days of the online purchase date. Please contact us and include the transaction ID from the receipt or the name of the class to refund. Note: WebAssign cannot provide refunds for printed textbooks or access code cards purchased from your campus bookstore.
