Introduction to Statistics and Data Analysis (AP® Edition), 6th Edition, by Peck, Short, and Olsen lowers the reading level from the previous edition and significantly increases homework scaffolding for difficulty level. In order to get students thinking statistically, this text stresses interpretation and communication of statistical information through hands-on, activity-based learning using real data. Written in compliance with the GAISE college report and employing techniques based on modern research into student learning, this text emphasizes how concepts apply to students and the world around them and expands into methods using data analysis tools or hand-calculations where necessary. This 6th Edition contains new sections on randomization-based inference: bootstrap methods for simulation-based confidence intervals and randomization tests of hypotheses.
