Add a Personal Study Plan for Credit

When you make the Personal Study Plan® count toward your students' final grade, the Personal Study Plan is added as a category in the WebAssign GradeBook. You can specify the category weighting for the Personal Study Plan.

Before you begin:
  • Enable the Personal Study Plan for your course.
  • Set up the WebAssign GradeBook to calculate a final grade based on category weights.
  • Set the Personal Study Plan to be included as a category in the GradeBook.
Note You cannot set the Personal Study Plan to count toward your students' final grades if your WebAssign GradeBook is not set up, does not calculate a final grade, or calculates the final grade based on points.
  1. Open the My Classes page.

Click Classes > My Classes and find the section you want.

  2. Click the Personal Study Plan tab.
  3. Click Settings.
The Personal Study Plan settings window is displayed.
  4. Select Personal Study Plan as proof of mastery.
  5. Open GradeBook and click on Settings.
  6. Click the Final tab, enter the weight for your Personal Study Plan, then click Save.
The Personal Study Plan category is included in the GradeBook.
The category score for the Personal Study Plan is computed by averaging all of the Personal Study Plan chapter quizzes.
  • Each chapter quiz in the Personal Study Plan is weighted equally.
  • No chapter quizzes are dropped when computing the category average.
  • Practice quizzes do not count toward the category average.
Note If you remove the Personal Study Plan category from your GradeBook calculations, the Personal Study Plan will revert to self-study.
